A '90s kid, Ryan learned from his heroes. Especially from those rebel artists at the newly-formed Image Comics. And of those superstars, especially from Todd McFarlane.

As a comics professional, Ryan has followed his idol's path. From becoming Marvel's pre-eminent fan-favorite star to now embarking on his own ambitious creator-owned property.

VANISH is Ryan and co-creator Donny Cates' swing for their own SPAWN. But with a modern twist. Start with a killer concept and design as a hook...that serves as a Trojan horse for the true endgame, an addicting long-form story. Like the current gold standard, SAGA. Ryan has stated that his hope is for VANISH to be his SPAWN with a SAGA story.
