SDFC 2021 *Surprise Drop #3*: UPDATE

When the last newsletter went out announcing Surprise Drop #3, I got a text from a friend: Your inbox is going to blow up tomorrow.

Actually, it blew up today. There are now 300+ e-mails and counting all with inquiries about the DWJ art tomorrow.

I won't be able to answer them all, so hope this update takes care of the most common questions/concerns.

- First off, yes, there was a typo in the newsletter. The drop is tomorrow, Friday. The line should read:

So don't worry, you didn't miss it!

- Sorry, I cannot tell you the prices for individual pages. Between managing all the orders from this past week, as well as gearing up for tomorrow's drop, I'm unable to answer such inquiries. However, if you've followed us, none of the prices should be a surprise when you see them tomorrow.

- Although we are dropping two issues, and there are 46 pieces total, the odds are that the majority of interested collectors tomorrow will not be getting a page due to the heavy demand. So many are asking me how best to score one. My advice: Do your homework ahead of time and ID the page(s) you want most. Some will obviously be getting a lot of intense action, so you would increase your odds by going for one of the "sleeper" pages. Also, just order one page at a time. If you try to stock your cart with multiple pages, by the time you submit it, those pages would have already been requested individually by others. Your odds of landing more than one page are actually better if you split them up into multiple requests. Remember, as always, FIRST submitted request gets the art. So speed is of the essence.

*SDFC 2021 SURPRISE DROP #3 ANNOUNCMENT*

SDFC 2021 has been unstoppable this week. Our tally after Day 4 is 112 of 115 pieces sold! With ALL 31 pieces of RYAN OTTLEY original art sold at today's drop!

And we're closing out the show with our biggest drop yet.

EXTREMITY: 100% sold out. MURDER FALCON: 100% sold out. WONDER WOMAN: DEAD EARTH: 100% sold out. And now BETA RAY BILL is set to join the ranks of sold-out DWJ classics.

We set out to create an event that was bigger than SDFC 2020. No easy feat, as we ended that show with a legendary drop of Tradd Moore's SILVER SURFER: BLACK. What could top that?

Many collectors have guessed correctly: Surprise Drop #3 on Day 5 would be DWJ's BETA RAY BILL.

But how many guessed that it would be BETA RAY BILL #1?

Yes, that's right: We've saved the very first issue, with the most important art, just for SDFC 2021. Complete issues sell for us for any issue number, not just #1's. But virtually all #1's are sold complete. This is a RARE chance to get a page from a major #1 issue by a super-popular creator from us. And EVERY page will be available!

But wait...there's more! We're ALSO dropping EVERY page from BETA RAY BILL #4! We told you all from the outset that, due to demand, all issues of BRB would sell complete...but that we'd be holding back one issue to break up so everyone would have a chance at a page. Well, because we wanted to be sure we had a drop even bigger than SILVER SURFER: BLACK...we ultimately decided to make two issues worth of art available. And yes, BRB #5 has sold complete, so this is ALL the BRB art that will be available from us.

We wanted to host an art event to end all art events, with a worthy grand finale. Hope we succeeded!
