A major comics event four years in the making has arrived: JAMES HARREN's ULTRAMEGA #2 original art drops tomorrow, Friday, April 23rd, at 9AM PDT/12PM EDT! ALL 44 pages, plus the cover, will be available!
ULTRAMEGA is James' magnum opus, his personal passion project. The culmination of his lifelong study of comics. His first true opportunity to create something that was 100% his artistic statement. James is an artist par excellence; comics just happens to be his chosen vehicle for expression. And we are so lucky for that.
From young gun studs like Ian Bertram, Aaron Conley, Stephen Green, Daniel Warren Johnson, Andrew MacLean, Tradd Moore, Geoff Shaw...to renowned veterans like Chris Burnham, Cliff Chiang, Ryan Ottley, Nick Pitarra, Ryan Sook, Ryan Stegman, Chris Stevens...and even to masters like Paul Pope...everyone is in awe of James' talent and art. And outside our group, if imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then there is no modern comic artist more flattered than James. Given the impact he's had on this generation's artists, we may eventually look back at this period of comics and call it "The Harren Age".
ULTRAMEGA #1 was sold complete for a record $50,000 to a VERY motivated collector. How motivated? He committed to it SIGHT UNSEEN! Bleeding Cool only knew part of the story!:

Tomorrow's drop will be the earliest art available. And YOU don't have to buy anything sight unseen! Issue #2 was released this week, so if you haven't picked it up from your local comics shot yet, you still have tonight to check out pages before the drop tomorrow! James pours his heart and soul into each page; you can FEEL the weight in your hands. Suffice it to say, anyone who is able to get a page tomorrow is getting something special.
