Paul Pope + AKIRA update! *PLEASE READ!* + CHAT!

Thanks to everyone who checked out our PAUL POPE drop this week and our AKIRA drop last week...both 100% SOLD OUT! 36/36 pieces for Paul and 101/101 for AKIRA!
While sellouts aren't uncommon for us, drops for Paul and AKIRA have been amongst our most popular. Indeed, there were over 600 requests at the AKIRA drop for 101 pieces.
This meant that most people didn't get art they requested. Those who have been at this for a while-- and more importantly, have read the newsletter-- understand. Those who haven't...might not. And some have been upset. So while I have explained this countless times already, I will do so one more time. PLEASE READ to avoid any future misunderstanding.
Adding the art to your cart does NOT mean you got it. Submitting the request does NOT mean you got it. There can be multiple requests for the same piece. In the case of multiple requests for the same piece, the FIRST submitted request gets the art. If you didn't get the art, it's because your request was not the first. It's that simple.
I do not sell the art to a higher bid. There is also no "preferential" treatment for "big" collectors. (As an example, one of my favorite movie directors just went 0-2 during the AKIRA drop.) Again, the FIRST submitted request gets the art. All requests are time-stamped by the site. If the first request falls through, then the second submitted request gets a shot. And so on. We will not default to an auction format to determine winner. This can all be verified by Bill Cox (of Comic Art Fans), who admins my site. It's may not be a perfect system, but it also doesn't get any more fair than that.
