*Exclusive Announcement* NICK PITARRA 2021 Commmission List NOW OPEN! + AUCTION UPDATE!
Published on January 6, 2021
EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCMENT FOR NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS: For the first time in 5 years, NICK PITARRA is opening up a full-fledged commission list!
And for the FIRST TIME ever, Nick will be doing our "Fan Special" option: 6x9 busts and torsos! See samples below of Batman (bust) and Hellboy (torso)! Nick loves drawing for fans at shows, and with no shows in 2020 (and likely 2021), he's looking to scratch that itch with these budget-friendly commissions! Nick was our first artist to become in demand for high-end cover-quality commissions, so if he's been out of reach before, here's your chance now!
And, of course, he's also available for those collectors who prefer full-on commissions, like Batman and Robin below! Plus his patented 11"X17" MANHATTAN PROJECTS-style cover-quality option!
Reminder: We only take ONE list per artist per year MAX. We take the longest lists (up to 60!) in the hobby to try to accommodate as many collectors as possible, but we still always sell out of spots. And with Nick, it may be a while before he takes another list again. So don't miss this chance and write me ASAP for details if you want a Pitarra for your collection! Talk soon!
And finally, an update for our current round of charity art auctions:
JAMES JEAN's final pencil art for PORTAL INTERIOR (from his "Stained Glass" series) is at $4100. When we started working with James, we repped his comic book art, as well as commissions. He would also let us sell some small pieces from his gallery work. Well, even those small pieces go to gallery shows now. Like this one. They all sell out at premium prices. Congrats in advance to the winner of this special piece!
BRYAN LEE O'MALLEY's original art for his SCOTT PILGRIM ESPORTS t-shirt is at $1000. The SCOTT PILGRIM art that he donated to our NAACP benefit auctions this past summer went for $5600...this is currently just a small fraction of that!
YUKO SHIMIZU's published illustration of SANSHO THE BAILIFF is at $3000. Yuko's illustrations of classic Japanese cinema subjects, especially, are highly sought-after. They don't come any more important than this!
My thanks to these three legendary artists for their generous donations for our charity!
These auctions will end TOMORROW, Thursday, January 7th, at 5PM PST/8PM EST.
Remember, ALL proceeds benefit cancer patients and their families via The Lu Family Fund. If your company offers a donation match, let us know, we'll count that in your bid! You will receive a receipt for your payment to Paltown and it may be tax deductible (consult your accountant). Please place your bids in the post for any (or all!) pieces on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. Whichever is your social media outlet of choice. OR you can submit your bid to me directly. I will then update social media with the high bid. Thank you, bid high, and good luck!
