MATIAS BERGARA art drop update: 100% SOLD OUT!
Published on July 2, 2020
Thank you to everyone for their enthusiastic response to our very first MATÍAS BERGARA art drop...we are now 100% SOLD OUT! Within 15 minutes, all 33 pieces were taken, including every single page of his HELLBLAZER issue!
Congrats to all those who were able to secure a Bergara original for their collections! For everyone else, please do not despair. I have been speaking with Matías today since the drop; he is absolutely thrilled and humbled with how his work has been received by collectors. And he has pledged to send me more art soon! So there will be another opportunity coming up this summer!
Those who have followed us know that we routinely sell out art drops. However, there are always new fans discovering the site who may not understand. I know we've just had a huge influx of fresh eyes as a result of our NAACP LDF benefit auctions. So here are some basic tips for new collectors about our process:
1. Placing an item in your cart does not guarantee you will get the piece. All requests must be submitted through the site. Each request is time-stamped by the site, so in the case of multiple requests for the same art, the first submitted request gets it. Sometimes only seconds, even a single second, separates the first request from the second. So speed counts.
2. Only request what you are willing to pay for. Do NOT place requests for multiple pieces, and then pick and choose afterward. I will cancel the entire order if this happens.
3. Please write me BEFORE ordering to get approved for a time payment plan. We need to be sure terms are understood completely first.
4. To see all new art at the drop, your best bet is to refresh the UPDATES tab at the announced time.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I know none of this is new to the majority of you, but I feel it bears repeating now, since we have some very high in-demand art dropping soon. Perhaps our highest ever? I'll leave you with that and say, once again, THANK YOU for your support of our artists. We appreciate it so very much. Take care, stay safe, and talk soon.
