Commission lists UPDATE! + Chat starts NOW!
Published on April 29, 2020
Thanks to everyone who has checked in with us for all the commission lists we've opened in the last several weeks. The enthusiasm for our artists' work has been through the roof. We've opened 16 lists since the start of the year; each and every one has sold out (upwards of 50 requests each!) within hours. This includes the following artists: Jeffrey Alan Love, Filipe Andrade, Chris Stevens, Stephen Green, Chris Mooneyham, James Harren, Ian Bertram, Ryan Stegman, Daniel Warren Johnson, Andrew MacLean, Langdon Foss, Mike Huddleston, Geoff Shaw, Matias Bergara, Paul Pope, and our latest from yesterday, Tradd Moore. We will post the art as it comes in on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) so all can enjoy. Again, THANK YOU for this incredible support of our artists!
As all the lists have sold out, many of you have written me to be placed on backup lists. I need to clarify that situation: The backup lists are in case the artist decides to expand his/her list OR there are dropouts...THIS ROUND. Realistically, once in a while an artist will agree to lengthen their lists, but there are almost never any dropouts. The backup lists don't carry over to the next opening as that won't be until next year, at the earliest. When a new list starts, it's with a clean slate. Hope everyone understands, thanks.
Also, although some of our artists offer commissions options for as low as $100, we know that many of our artists' rates price them out of most collectors' budgets. We hope everyone understands that rates are a function of demand and reflect fair market value. We always try to have art opportunities available for everyone, though. And to that end, we are gearing up for a MAJOR sketch event this summer. I'm currently gathering affordable art from many (if not most) of our artists for this event. This will be art that should be attainable for ALL collectors. I already have a nice stockpile going...you guys are gonna have fun! Hang tight for our announcement in a few months!
