You didn't have to wait long! JEFFREY ALAN LOVE original art drops tomorrow, Wednesday November 13th, at 9AM PST/12PM EST!
This is the very first time Jeffrey has made his original art available publicly like this. And he's been working toward this over the past year by specifically creating comic-themed art for this occasion. You've seen many of these gorgeous pieces in his social media feed and on his website; tomorrow, you'll have the chance to add one to your collection. We'll also have several of his illustrations and personal pieces, too.
I've already shared several of the accolades he's received. Here are a few more from his esteemed fellow artists:
Jeffrey Alan Love, writing as an endlessly fascinated amnesiac, fills his notebook with fragments of observation, pieces of behaviour, gods, strangeness and charm, in a desperate attempt to make sense of it all. To create a kind of personal tarot out of these icons and wastrels. And the strangest thing is I get the sense he's walking around his hometown of St. Louis, sketching from life - sitting on the pavement, smudging his raw materials, turning neighbors into spirits and dogs into demons. Jeffrey's haunted silhouetted world is a recent discovery for me, but like a great old battered European city, I want to excavate more and more of it. - Dave McKean
Two quick takes regarding The Thousand Demon Tree: 1) Jeffrey Alan Love is one hell of a storyteller. He's created a rich, emotional, totally immersive epic composed completely of imagery, and 2) any serious student of design would do well to pay attention. I know I am! - Mark Schultz
Jeffrey Alan Love has tapped into the sort of half-remembered illustrations we saw as kids and made something altogether his own, haunting and whimsical. - Duncan Fegredo
Needless to say, this is a special event tomorrow. For those asking, Jeffrey does not have time to take on any commissions due to his book schedule. Check out a sneak preview group pic on our social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) of some of the beautiful pieces coming tomorrow. Thanks everyone, talk soon!
