Nick Pitarra LEVIATHAN update! + We're moving!
Published on August 15, 2018
For those who have inquired about Nick Pitarra's art for his hit new LEVIATHAN series (with CHEW writer/co-creator John Layman) from Image Comics, the first issue has sold complete. Congrats to Nick and the lucky collector who snagged it! These are Nick's biggest pages of his career...literally! Each page measures a whopping 13"X20"...fittingly, monster pages for a giant monster book!
Nick originally drew the pages for issue #2 on standard 11"X17" art board, but then decided to re-draw everything on 13"X20", just like issue #1! Our current plan is to drop issue #2, so that there will be a chance for everyone to grab one of these incredibly impressive pages. Nick has gone bonkers with the art, both in layout and in detail. You'll have to hold the page in your hands to believe it. Keep an eye out for the announcement!
In other news, Felix Comic Art is moving to a new location for the next several months. What this means for now is that any orders placed after today (8/15) will be shipped in September. Our inventory will be in transit, and we'll need a bit to get settled in. After that, it will be business as usual. All new art that is dropped will be shipped in our usual timely fashion. (Some inventory will remain in our CA home base; any orders for that art will get processed once a month.) Thanks for your patience during this transition period.
We're also excited to announce that 30+ year veteran collector (and past podcast guest) Lambert Sheng will be joining our team! He's going to assist at shows and also with day-to-day operations while we're in our temporary home. Lambert's been around forever, knows the hobby and artists like no other, and is an invaluable asset. Chat with him at a show...you'll learn something!
That's it for now, thanks as always for reading, and talk soon!
