HAPPY NEW YEAR! + 2021 Preview!

Happy New Year, everyone! Finally, 2020 is in the rear-view mirror. A truly awful year, hope we don't have to experience anything like that again.

But some good did come out of it.

For the first time ever, we crossed the six-figure mark in a calendar year with our charitable fundraising efforts as a team. Including pledges, we'll have raised over $200,000 in 2020, with EVERY dollar going directly to the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, as well as the charity we founded, the Lu Family Fund. In fact, this is DOUBLE all our previous fundraising...COMBINED! So THANK YOU to everyone who supported these efforts. Especially those who have given so generously to the Lu Family Fund. Updated 2020 donor list is below. I'll have more to report throughout 2021, including our ongoing data collection on patient outcomes (we hope positive results from the Fund will enable us to present our paper at ASCO in 2023) and most hopefully, testimonials from survivors themselves. Again, we appreciate it so much.

Professionally, at least, 2020 was a banner year (against all odds!) for our artists. And as a result, for all you collectors, too! We moved more art into collections, including complete issues, than ever before. Over 3600 pieces, from covers to pages to commissions. Well, 2021 is shaping up to be even bigger.

Already announced projects include James Harren's ULTRAMEGA, Daniel Warren Johnson's BETA RAY BILL, and Riley Rossmo's HARLEY QUINN. These are all coming in March.

Cliff Chiang's BLACK LABEL project should be coming out later this year, and possibly Ian Bertram's PRECIOUS METAL, as well as Bryan Lee O'Malley's WORST WORLD.

Still to be announced: Creator-owned titles from Matías Bergara, Aaron Conley, Nick Dragotta, Langdon Foss, Jeffrey Alan Love, Chris Mooneyham, Nick Pitarra. Marvel/DC titles from Filipe Andrade, Nick Derington, Bilquis Evely, Tradd Moore, Ryan Ottley, Ryan Sook. And an absolute blockbuster from Paul Pope.

And, of course, we'll see more SEA OF STARS from Stephen Green, DECORUM from Mike Huddleston, SNOTGIRL from Leslie Hung, THOR from Nic Klein, HEAD LOPPER from Andrew MacLean, CROSSOVER from Geoff Shaw. Plus more fantastic covers and illustrations from Yuko Shimizu and Chris Stevens.

Also, secret stuff from Stuart Immonen and Ryan Stegman. Can't say more beyond that, but...stay tuned!

Lastly...the return of AKIRA!
