STUART IMMONEN original art drops tomorrow, Fri. 11/6, at 9AM PST/12PM EST! PLUNGE + sketches!

It's time! STUART IMMONEN original art drops tomorrow, Friday November 6th, at 9AM PST/12PM EST!
Included will be pages from his latest work, PLUNGE (with LOCKE AND KEY writer Joe Hill), along with an incredible assortment of sketches! Yes, for the first time ever, Stuart's sketches will be available to collectors!
PLUNGE is being hailed as a high-water mark for his career and his art. And as he doesn't do commissions, nor draw at shows, tomorrow will be your one chance to get a sketch from him. And there will be a LOT to choose from.
So...you really don't want to miss this. Overall, this will be the LARGEST selection of Stuart's work ever offered at once. And even better...it's ALL going to be affordable for fans! Stuart knows we always try to make art available to all collectors, and he is very happy that everyone will have an opportunity to own a piece of his work tomorrow. If you miss going to shows and picking up something cool from an artist that doesn't break the bank...tomorrow is for you!
(TIP: Refresh the UPDATES tab at the drop to see all the art appear at that time. We do expect interest to be heavy, so also please remember that in the case of multiple requests for the same piece, the first submitted request gets the art. We will let you know ASAP if you didn't get a piece; if you don't hear from us right away, that's generally a good sign!)
If you didn't catch our announcement for Stuart yesterday, you can read it below. I don't think time payment plans will be necessary for anyone this time around, but we always try to accommodate, so write me if you think you'll need one. Thanks everyone, see you tomorrow, and good luck!

It's been in the works for some time, but we are finally able to announce that comic artist extraordinaire STUART IMMONEN has joined Felix Comic Art!
Those who have followed us know that we are very selective about whom we bring on board. It's simply a function of available time: We want to be sure that we can serve all our artists well. (And of course, our collectors, too!) As much as we admire and appreciate all the talent that's out there, it's impossible for anyone to rep everyone. But we always held one spot open for someone like a Stuart Immonen. In fact, internally, we called it "The Stuart Immonen Spot". So when we heard from Stuart earlier this year, we had been waiting for just that opportunity. And here we are. Thank you, Stuart, we are humbled.
Stuart is an industry legend, and well-deserving of his latest honor, a career-spanning retrospective interview with The Comics Journal:
The Stuart Immonen Comics Journal Interview
There has been no greater discriminating publication on comics in the history of the medium than TCJ. And here's just a small sample of what they have to say about Stuart's art:
- Stuart Immonen has been making comics for more than three decades and in that time he’s become not just one of the great superhero artists, not just one of the great science fiction comics artists, but one of the great comics artists of his generation.
- Immonen has long been both a fan favorite and an artist’s artist. So many creators have long talked about Immonen’s work in respectful if not awed tones. The way he adjusts his style for each project, his masterful skill of depicting character through body language and expressions, his eye for composition and design.
- I’m honestly at a loss for the sheer virtuosity. How many comics artists could draw superheroes as well as anyone ever has, and then turn around and make something like Moving Pictures? It would be like James Cameron making Ingmar Bergman dramas in between action thrillers.
Stuart's latest project is PLUNGE with one of the very best writers in comics today, Joe Hill (LOCKE AND KEY). TCJ considers it a career-best work. If you pin Stuart down...he might agree with that, too.
We are proud to debut Stuart's work on our site with pages from PLUNGE. An entire issue's worth. We will also have a wide selection of sketches available, as well. This will be the FIRST TIME sketches from Stuart have ever been available. He does not do commissions, nor does he sketch at shows. All-in-all, this will be a major opportunity for fans of Stuart's work, and collectors of comic art.
We will be announcing the drop time for Stuart's debut shortly. Feel free to write me with any questions in the meantime. Thanks everyone, talk soon!
